Palmdale, Los Angeles County, CA: A work truck slammed head-on into a power pole killing the driver Tuesday afternoon in the city of Palmdale.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Rancho Vista Boulevard and Summerwind Drive for a reported single-vehicle traffic collision around 1:46 p.m., June 6.
Upon arrival, paramedics of Squad 37 performed CPR and first aid but were unable to save the driver’s life. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the work truck was driving east on Rancho Vista Boulevard at a high rate of speed, according to witnesses, when he collided with a power pole on the south side of the street.
The work truck appears to be from Stone Age Masons, a business located in Canyon Country.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time and whether drugs, alcohol or a medical issue was a factor in the collision.
LASD Traffic deputes are currently investigating the fatal crash.
