VERNON, CA, (KNN) — A high-speed solo vehicle crash left a driver injured early Friday morning after striking a tree and building.

Vernon Police Department officers and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle crash at approximately 1 a.m. in the 4900 block of District Boulevard in the city of Vernon.
When first responders arrived on scene, they located a mangled red sedan on its side into a power pole that had struck a building and destroyed a tree.
The driver self-extricated from the wrecked vehicle and was transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
The collision is under investigation, while currently, speed appears to have been a factor in the crash.
