EUREKA, Calif., Nov. 19 (KNN) — KNN video captured waves crashing along the coast near Eureka Tuesday afternoon as a bomb cyclone approaches the West Coast.
The high surf was captured on video in the 2200 block of New Navy Base Road in Arcata, California. At the time of filming, winds were blowing south-southeast at 27 mph, and the temperature was 52 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a robust system will continue to bring heavy mountain snow, rain, high winds and hazardous marine conditions to the Pacific Northwest and northern California through midweek.
A Flood Watch and Wind Advisory is in effect.
