Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision Leaves 1 Dead in North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11 (KNN) — At least one person was declared deceased at the scene of a hit-and-run crash late Saturday night in North Hollywood.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:32 p.m. on Vineland Avenue near Vanowen Street.

The suspect vehicle involved fled the scene and was found in the 11000 block of Archwood Street, per information at the scene.

One person was taken into custody, according to a sergeant at the crash site. He also confirmed one person is dead as a result of the crash.

The Los Angeles Police Department had the area closed off as they conducted their investigation.
