LOS ANGELES, Apr. 22 (KNN) — The fatal shooting of a man Sunday evening prompted sheriff’s homicide investigators to respond to the unincorporated Los Angeles community of Florence-Firestone.
The shooting was reported at 8:07 p.m. in the 1700 block of Firestone Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The adult Hispanic male victim was located and pronounced deceased at the scene, according to authorities. LASD Homicide investigators responded for a shooting investigation.
Key News Network video from the violent scene shows several prayer candles placed among multiple bullet casings in a parking lot. Casings were also located on the sidewalk in front of a liquor store.
A white Range Rover was observed in the parking lot with at least one shattered window and multiple bullet holes in the side of the vehicle.
There is no additional information at this time, said the LASD.
