Homicide Investigation Underway Into Shooting Death of Man in Tarzana

TARZANA, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 8 (KNN) — A man was found fatally shot in Tarzana overnight prompting a homicide investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.

LAPD officers responded to the 3800 block of Winford Drive at 12:30 a.m. for a reported person found not conscious and not breathing.

When units arrived, they found a deceased body lying in the gutter.

The LAPD has identified the victim as a Hispanic male in his 30s found with gunshot wounds. The victim’s name has not yet been released.

The victim was not homeless and it is currently unknown if the incident is gang related, according to the LAPD. There is no suspect information at this time.

LAPD’s Operations Valley Bureau Homicide is investigating the incident.

The area is home to million dollar houses with gated communities.
