House Fire Prompts Evacuation of Nearby Apartment Buildings

VERMONT SQUARE, LOS ANGELES, June 21 (KNN) – A craftsman style home burned between two apartment complexes Wednesday night prompting evacuations.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire just after 10:30 p.m. on the 4100 block of South Figueroa Street in the Vermont Square neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Knockdown was achieved in approximately 15 minutes with over 80 firefighters at the incident.

There were reports of one patient at the front of the building in unknown condition at the time of the fire, however, LAFD has not confirmed any injuries in their update of the incident.
