PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES, Jan. 29 (KNN) — An individual at the scene of a house fire in Pacoima late Sunday night, impeded firefighters’ efforts to douse the flames until authorities were called to the location.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire around 11:39 p.m. on the 12499 block of Van Nuys Boulevard.
Once on scene, firefighters found a single-story, single-family house with smoke showing. Firefighters knocked down the flames within 10 minutes of arrival.
During the fire battle, the Los Angeles Police Department was called to assist with a belligerent individual at the scene who was hindering efforts to douse the flames. It was unclear who the individual was, and if they were somehow related to the burning house.
There were no injuries reported. The LAFD is investigating the cause of the fire.
