AZUSA, Calif., Sept. 27 (KNN) — A semi-trailer jackknifed early Friday morning, causing a traffic collision and significant delays on the 210 Freeway.
California Highway Patrol officers and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a multi-vehicle traffic collision involving a jackknifed semi-trailer on the eastbound 210 Freeway at Vernon Avenue in Azusa.
Once officers and firefighters arrived on the scene, multiple vehicles were found crashed into a jackknifed semi-trailer that overturned on the westbound side, blocking the carpool lane and the fast lane.
CHP reported that multiple westbound vehicles struck the overturned trailer in the westbound lane. CHP had only the slow lane open for the eastbound side, and two right lanes were open for the westbound side.
A Sig Alert was issued for the west and eastbound lanes of the 210 Freeway for an unknown time. The number of people transported to a hospital was not immediately known.
