KOREATOWN, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 4 (KNN) — Two people were injured when a boarded up home in Koreatown erupted into flames early Wednesday morning.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire around 3:49 a.m. in the 900 block of South Ardmore Avenue.
When units arrived on scene, they located heavy fire coming from the first story of a boarded up two-story residence.
LAFD reported two patients required transport to a local hospital as a result of the fire; a male, approximately 21 years old, suffered minor injuries from jumping out of the house from the second floor and was reported to be in fair condition, and a female, approximately 50 years old, who sustained burns and smoke inhalation, listed in critical condition.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
