LINCOLN HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of a victim floating down the Los Angeles River in the area of North Mission Road and East Chavez Avenue in the Lincoln Heights area of Los Angeles.
An initial call to 911 shortly before midnight Tuesday, reported that someone saw a shoe floating down the river.
Additional reported information to the LAFD stated that a person was actually seen in the water.
LAFD resources searched the L.A. River from Lincoln Heights all the way south to the city of Vernon on South Downey Road over the river where a rescue point was established.
After an exhaustive search, no victim was located.
