LAPD Investigates Shots Fired in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Apr. 9 (KNN) — Shots rang out early Tuesday morning in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles prompting calls to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Patrol units from the LAPD’s Hollywood Division responded to calls of shots fired with people running from the scene in the area of Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue around 2:45 a.m.

Officer Drake Madison, spokesperson for the LAPD, said comments from a caller stated that five shots were heard and three black SUVs fled the scene.

Bullet casings were located and a car was impounded at the location, according to Madison.

It is unknown at this time if the shooting is gang related.
