Arleta, Los Angeles, CA: An off-duty Los Angeles Police Department officer was trapped inside a vehicle after a traffic collision early Tuesday morning, Nov. 15, in the Arleta neighborhood within the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to reports of a traffic collision on the 5 Freeway north and the Terra Bella offramp around 1:54 a.m.
LAPD put the call out as an officer needs help, prompting over 20 patrol units to arrive at the location.
LAFD responded to the call as a physical rescue.
The off-duty LAPD officer was trapped inside a vehicle that hit the center divider after being struck by a dump truck.
The officer was freed within five minutes of the fire department’s arrival and transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
