Large Group of Street Racers Take Over Parking Lot in Diamond Bar

DIAMOND BAR, CA, July 24 (KNN) — A large group of street racers took over a parking lot in the city of Diamond Bar Sunday night.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol received calls of a parking lot takeover by approximately 200 to 300 street racers on the 900 block of North Diamond Bar Boulevard.

Vehicles were seen doing donuts with a large group of spectators present in a parking lot for multiple stores and Oak Tree Lanes bowling. This lot was also the location of a previous takeover.

A CHP airship was overhead assisting ground units in clearing out the vehicles from the lot.

CHP officers detained one person who was observed in the back seat of a CHP vehicle and one vehicle was impounded for doing donuts in the parking lot.
