LAKE BALBOA, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 14 (KNN) — Strong, gusty winds toppled a tree that took down power lines onto multiple parked vehicles overnight in the Lake Balboa neighborhood.
The Los Angeles Fire Department received a call of wires down around 2:30 a.m. in the 16600 block of West Victory Boulevard.
When units arrived, they found a large tree that had fallen over, taking down power lines and utility cables onto approximately 10 cars along with blocking driveways. A large tree branch had snapped from the trunk of a nearby tree and landed on top of a car.
The Los Angeles Department of Transportation and the L.A. Department of Water and Power responded to the location.
