SANTA CLARITA, Calif., May 18 (KNN) — The California Highway Patrol was investigating a solo vehicle collision of a white dually truck that pulled over on the right side of a 14 Freeway off-ramp Friday night. The dually truck was pulling a car carrier loaded with three vehicles when it detached and toppled over.
The incident happened around 11:51 p.m. Friday on the northbound 14 Freeway, westbound Newhall off-ramp in the Santa Clarita area.
Two people were inside the dually truck hauling the trailer when the crash occurred. The truck was damaged on the bed as the trailer came off the truck.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department was also dispatched as a precaution, but no one was transported and no injuries were reported.
CHP cordoned off the westbound off-ramp and were redirecting traffic to the eastbound off-ramp.
At 12:21 a.m. Saturday, a Sig Alert was issued for a hard closure for approximately three hours as a heavy duty tow truck removed the vehicles and trailer.
