Los Angeles Metro Bus Crash Leaves Multiple Passengers Injured in Studio City

STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 23 (KNN) — Multiple passengers aboard a Los Angeles Metro bus were injured when the bus crashed into a pole in Studio City early Friday morning.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the 3900 block of Lankershim Boulevard for a crash shortly before 4:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a bus that had collided with a pole.

Multiple victims who were inside the bus at the time of the crash, were seen with injuries sitting on the curb being assessed by firefighter/paramedics. The driver of the bus was observed walking around the scene.

The LAFD reported a total of seven patients; six of those patients were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and one declined LAFD transport.

The collision left the front end of the bus severely damaged and the top half was bent to one side from the impact.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time and under investigation.
