Man Arrested After Shooting Into Coffee Shop in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, May 7 (KNN) — A man is in custody after firing a shot into a coffee shop early Tuesday morning in Downtown Los Angeles.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division responded to a location in the 800 block of Broadway shortly before 3:30 a.m. for reports regarding a man who had fired a single shot into a closed coffee shop.

The officers quickly arrived at the location and observed the suspect fleeing the scene.

A short foot pursuit ensued and the suspect was eventually taken into custody without further incident.

Officers recovered a handgun and a machete from the suspect.
