Man Fatally Shot in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, CA, June 27 (KNN) – A man was shot and killed near a hospital Tuesday night in the city of Long Beach.

The Long Beach Police Department responded to reports of a shooting shortly after 7:30 p.m. and upon arrival, officers located one male down, unresponsive on the sidewalk in the 300 block of East 10th Street near Long Beach Boulevard.

Long Beach Fire Department paramedics responded and determined the victim to be deceased at the scene.

Information regarding the shooter is very limited at this time. However, one person was detained and all of 10th Street at Long Beach Boulevard was shut down for an unknown amount of time.

Details regarding the incident are still developing.

Family members were seen crying at the crime scene.
