LANCASTER, Calif., June 7 (KNN) — A shooting in Lancaster in the early morning hours of Friday left one man fatally wounded and ultimately pronounced deceased at a hospital.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster Station and personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the 44300 block of Gingham Avenue for reports of multiple shots fired around 2:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. When paramedics arrived, they rendered aid to the victim and rushed him to a local area hospital where he succumbed from his injuries.
Witnesses who declined to be identified, stated that the shooting occurred over an argument.
Multiple bullet casings were marked on the ground by deputies during the investigation of the crime scene.
No further information is available at this time as LASD’s Homicide investigators continue to investigate the fatal shooting, according to the LASD’s Information Bureau.
