Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Los Angeles Neighborhood Street

VERMONT VISTA, LOAS ANGELES, July 4 (KNN) — A male was found fatally struck by a vehicle on a street in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles late Tuesday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Transit Services Bureau units responded to a call of shooting at approximately 10:30 p.m. at the Metro Green Line Harbor Freeway Station at 11500 South Figueroa Street.

When units arrived on scene, they found a male that had been fatally struck by a vehicle that remained on scene with apparent collision damage.

According to the LAPD, a vehicle was traveling northbound on Figueroa Street when the vehicle struck a 65-year-old male Hispanic pedestrian who was in the roadway.

Responding Los Angeles Fire Department personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Officers still canvassed the area for a potential shooting victim from the initial call, but no shooting victim was found at the location.
