Man Found Fatally Shot Outside Motel in Pomona; Homicide Investigation Underway

POMONA, Calif., Jan. 30 (KNN) — A homicide investigation is underway into the fatal shooting of a man found outside of a motel in Pomona late Monday night, according to authorities.

Pomona police officers along with Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a gunshot victim at approximately 11:57 p.m. on the 900 block of West Holt Avenue.

Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene, they located one male down suffering from a gunshot wound and unresponsive.

Firefighters and paramedics transported the victim with CPR in progress to Pomona Valley Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

“Homicide Investigators from the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began an extensive investigation. The motive for the crime is not yet known,” stated Sgt. Rick Aguiar in a news release of the incident from Pomona PD.
