HARVARD HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Calif., Feb. 5 (KNN) — A victim of a shooting was found inside a vehicle in the Harvard Heights neighborhood of Central Los Angeles overnight, according to authorities.
A shooting was reported at 12:45 a.m. in the area of Pico Boulevard and Manhattan Place, prompting a response from Los Angeles Fire Department personnel and police officers.
Upon arrival, officers found a man inside a Hyundai sedan who had been shot. They pulled the man out of the car and rendered aid while the fire department was en route.
LAFD paramedics arrived and transported the wounded victim to a local hospital. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told Key News Network that the male victim, in his 30s, is in stable condition.
According to the spokesperson, the victim was shot at Pico and Hobart Boulevard, where three Black males approached the victim. A handgun was produced by the suspects when the shooting occurred. The victim fled in fear, driving off to the location where authorities responded to the shooting call.
It is unknown at this time if the incident is gang-related. LAPD’s Olympic Division is handling the investigation.
