Man Found Shot Outside Downtown Los Angeles Mission Dies at Hospital; Homicide Investigation Underway

LOS ANGELES, Apr. 25 (KNN) — A man was found fatally wounded after a reported shooting in the downtown area of Los Angeles Wednesday evening.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a shots fired call at 6:40 p.m. in the 600 block of South San Pedro Street where arriving officers located a man down with a gunshot wound outside the Midnight Mission, according to Officer Miller, spokesperson for the LAPD.

The wounded man was transported by the Los Angeles Fire Department to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

LAPD’s Homicide detectives were observed still investigating the crime scene at 8 p.m. The street remained closed for an unknown duration.

There is no suspect information at this time.
