Downtown Los Angeles, CA: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division are looking to identify the suspects involved in a Follow Home Attempt Robbery of a man who was attacked and pistol whipped outside the rear entrance of his apartment building in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, Mar. 6, 2022.
The incident occurred on the 1100 block of South Grand Avenue around 11:15 p.m., according to the Los Angles Police Department.

LAPD reported that the victim and his friend went to an upscale restaurant in the Hollywood area. After dinner, the victim gave his friend a ride home and then drove to his residence. While the victim was driving home, he observed a 4-door white sedan following him. The victim turned into an alley that lead to the rear entrance of his apartment building. The victim observed the suspect’s vehicle turn into the alley as well. The victim parked his Lamborghini in the rear alley next to the apartment door entrance.
The suspect’s vehicle, along with an accomplice vehicle, passed the victim’s vehicle and stopped in the middle of the alley. The victim exited his vehicle and walked to the rear entrance of his apartment building. Shortly after, a suspect from each vehicle exited their vehicles while additional suspects remained in their vehicles. One suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded his watch. The victim became involved in a physical altercation with the suspects and was subsequently pistol whipped, according to LAPD.
After the altercation, the suspects ran back to their vehicles and fled the location.
Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in this follow home robbery. Robbery-Homicide Division’s Follow Home Task Force assumed investigative responsibility for this case.
