Man Rescued from SUV Swept Off Roadway by Floodwater

Castaic/Val Verde, Los Angeles County, CA: An elderly man was rescued from his SUV at the intersection of Halsey Canyon Road and Del Valle Road in the Castaic/Val Verde area of Santa Clarita Valley shortly after 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9.

The SUV was swept from the roadway by floodwater amid heavy rain.
