Man Stabbed Near 7-Eleven in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Mar. 12 (KNN) — Police officers detained a suspect after a man was found stabbed near a convenience store in central Bakersfield Tuesday evening.

Bakersfield police officers, along with the Bakersfield Fire Department and Hall Ambulance, responded to a report of a male who had been stabbed outside the 7-Eleven at the intersection of Chester Lane and A Street shortly before 6 p.m.

Authorities arrived on the scene and apprehended a male suspect shortly after, who was found nearby. The police brought the suspect over to the stabbing victim for confirmation.

After the verification, the victim was transported to a local hospital by Hall Ambulance. According to initial information, the victim suffered minor injuries.

The suspect was observed being detained by officers at the scene.
