DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, May 19 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division patrol units responded to the area of 9th Street and Gladys Avenue for reports of a shooting victim shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday morning.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located a male suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. The victim told officers that he had heard gunfire before being stuck by a bullet.
The victim is possibly a truck driver who was sitting in the cab of his truck when the incident occurred, though not confirmed at this time.
He was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital for treatment of his wound.
There are no further details at this time.
