Man Wounded in Downtown Los Angeles Shooting

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Aug. 19 (KNN) — A man was wounded in a shooting in Downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning.

Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division units responded to a shooting shortly before 2 a.m. with a victim down in the 700 block of East 6th Street.

Arriving officers located a male down with a gunshot wound to a lower extremity. The victim was loaded into a Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance in unknown condition with what appeared to be a blanket covering his head. He was transported to a local hospital by firefighter/paramedics.

A possible suspect was taken into custody at the scene by officers.
