Metro Subway Death Under Investigation

Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: A dead body was discovered on a Metro subway train Tuesday night prompting a response and investigation by authorities.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department and Los Angeles police officers along with Metro transit personnel responded to reports of a deceased body around 10:30 p.m., May 9, on the Metro train at Hollywood and Vine (Red) Station on 6250 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood.

Metro authorities stopped train traffic on the Union Station destination tracks.

LAPD is investigating cause of death. The Los Angeles County coroner was due to respond to the scene.
