Missing Swimmer at Dockweiler Beach Found Dead After Hours Long Search

LOS ANGELES, Mar. 20 (KNN) — A missing swimmer was ultimately found dead by search and rescue personnel after hours long search overnight at Dockweiler Beach.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel and Los Angeles County Fire Department lifeguards responded to the 8100 block of Vista Del Mar for reports of a missing swimmer in the ocean shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Lifeguard boats and swimmers were deployed along with an LACoFD helicopter that was en route to assist with the search.

After searching for hours, the adult male swimmer’s body was found around 7:30 a.m., reported ABC 7 News.
