Mother Gives Birth in Minivan on 60 Freeway in South El Monte

SOUTH EL MONTE, Calif., Jan. 22 (KNN) — A baby was born overnight inside a minivan on the side of the 60 Freeway in the city of South El Monte.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol officers responded to a mom giving birth inside a minivan on the westbound 60 Freeway at the 605 Freeway interchange around 12:23 a.m. Monday.

Once firefighters and officers arrived on scene, the mom gave birth to a baby girl. The mom and the baby were transported to a local hospital.

Family members were there at the time of the birth.
