Motorcyclist Ejected Over Fence After Crashing Into Pole

City of Industry, Los Angeles County, CA: A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a solo crash into a light pole that ejected him over a fence Sunday night.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol received a call of a motorcycle down just before 9:00 p.m., May 21, on Crossroads Parkway and the eastbound 60 Freeway on-ramp in the area of the City of Industry.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported one motorcycle and rider down along with a downed light pole blocking lanes.

The motorcycle rider was found on the other side of a fence when units arrived. Firefighters had to cut open a lock on the fence to access the rider lying on the ground.

Firefighters quickly started medical treatment and transported the patient to a nearby hospital.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. It is unknown at this time if speed or alcohol was a factor in the incident.
