Motorcyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision

SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES, July 3 (KNN) — A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run traffic collision on the 170 Freeway early Monday morning in Sun Valley.

The California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle at approximately 12:30 a.m. on the northbound 170 Freeway at Roscoe Boulevard.

When fire personnel arrived, they found one person beyond medical help and pronounced the male motorcyclist deceased at the location.

CHP was searching for a white crossover-style SUV involved in the traffic collision that did not remain at the scene.

CHP informed the Los Angeles Police Department to be on the lookout for the described vehicle in the area of the collision. CHP received a call from a party saying that the car was stopped at the gas station on Roscoe Boulevard and Coldwater Canyon Avenue, approximately one hour after the traffic collision occurred.

CHP is investigating the fatal hit-and-run collision.
