WHITTIER, Calif., Apr. 24 (KNN) — A traffic collision involving a motorcycle left the rider dead at the scene in the city of Whittier late Tuesday night.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and California Highway Patrol along with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle shortly after 11 p.m. in the 10200 block of Mills Avenue.
Once officers and firefighters arrived on the scene, they located a motorcycle rider down in lanes not breathing. Firefighters and paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
One person was assessed by firefighters and paramedics inside an ambulance but they were not transported, and were released at the scene. Their car had drivers side damage.
CHP from the Santa Fe Springs Station will be handling the fatal motorcycle crash investigation.
The CHP had both north and southbound lanes of Mills Avenue closed as they investigated the crash.
