Motorist Dies After Falling 300 Feet off Overpass in Newhall Pass

NEWHALL PASS, Calif., Nov. 23 (KNN) — A motorist was killed after falling about 300 feet off an overpass within Interstate 5’s interchange with State Route 14 in the Newhall Pass late Friday evening.

California Highway Patrol Newhall officers were dispatched to the area around 8:50 p.m. to assist a disabled vehicle when the person ran from officers and somehow went over the side of the tallest overpass.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
