STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5 (KNN) — At least one home in Studio City was compromised after a large mudslide Sunday night was triggered by a pounding winter rainstorm that has dumped inches of rain throughout many parts of the Southland and is still going strong as of Monday.
The mudslide occurred around 9:10 p.m. in the 11900 block of Lockridge Road where the Los Angeles Fire Department responded for the reported incident.
At least one home was found to be compromised by the mudslide, with evacuations in progress.
The mud flow spread for blocks with rocks, boulders and debris all mixed together and observed laying in the roadway. No injuries were reported.
The rainstorm is predicted to continue to saturate SoCal areas for at least another two days. Flood warnings and evacuations are in effect for many neighborhoods.
