Multiple Agencies Respond to Lancaster Eastside Walmart For Shots Fired, Possible Active Shooter

LANCASTER, Calif., Mar. 15 (KNN) — Multiple agencies responded to the Eastside Walmart in the 1700 block of East Avenue J for a report of shots fired and a possible active shooter around 12 p.m. Friday.

Upon arrival, deputies located several shell casings in the parking lot near the grocery entrance of the Walmart. They further learned that at least two suspects had engaged in a shootout in the parking lot. No one was injured during the shooting.

Both suspects fled on foot, and at least one was detained at a nearby fast food restaurant. An investigation is underway and no further details are available.
