NORWALK, Calif., Dec. 4 (KNN) — Multiple pets were given oxygen after firefighters rescued them from a house fire in Norwalk Tuesday night.
The fire was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m., and heavy smoke was visible from the residence in the 13300 block of Newmire Avenue.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location, rescued multiple cats from the home, and provided on-site oxygen treatment to the animals.
A nearby neighbor indicated that the property housed several animals and had caught fire in the past.
A KNN photojournalist at the scene observed medical personnel returning to their unit for more oxygen tanks.
No further details were immediately available.
