Murder Victim Found on 105 Freeway Embankment

Green Meadows, Los Angeles, CA: A man’s body was discovered by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics early Friday morning, June 2, at approximately 1:12 a.m. on a 105 Freeway embankment just east of Avalon and north of 118th Street in the Green Meadows neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

Paramedics discovered the victim who had possibly been stabbed on the embankment. LAFD had also been to the area in response to a rubbish fire on Thursday, June 1, around 05:12 p.m., however, it is unknown if that incident is directly related to the murdered victim.

Los Angeles Police Department Southeast Division officers were at scene investigating, and California Highway Patrol officers were also at the location determining if this is a CHP South Los Angeles investigation.

It is unknown how long the victim had been at the location and when the murder took place.
