Nissan Altima Slams Into Semi-Trailer Trapping Driver

POMONA, CA, June 14 (KNN) — A vehicle slammed into the back of a semi-trailer trapping the driver early Wednesday morning.

Pomona police officers and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision with a person trapped inside a Nissan Altima stuck underneath a semi-trailer.

The collision occured around 12:21 a.m. at South Reservoir Street and Walnut Avenue in Pomona.

Once Pomona officers and firefighters arrived on scene, they located one person still trapped inside a vehicle under the trailer.

Firefighters and paramedics extricated the female driver from of the vehicle within 30 minutes of the call and transported her to Pomona Valley Hospital in unknown condition.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
