North Hollywood Shooting Leaves 3 Dead, Suspects Sought

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17 (KNN) — A shooting occurred in the area of Lankershim Boulevard and Moorpark Street in North Hollywood Monday evening shortly after 9:30 p.m., reportedly involving multiple vehicles with three people fatally wounded including one victim pronounced deceased at the scene.

Initial reports of two possible vehicles shooting at each other in the area have yet to be confirmed.

A vehicle was reported at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center with multiple occupants suffering from unknown gunshot wounds related to the incident. Initial reports indicate two occupants in that vehicle died at the hospital.

The specific number of victims at the hospital and the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

One victim was pronounced deceased at the intersection of Lankershim Boulevard and Moorpark near where popular Mexican restaurant Ernie’s Taco House is located, usually filled with customers on any given night.

More details will be added later to this report as more information is made available from the LAPD.
