ONTARIO, Calif., May 31 (KNN) — The Ontario Police Department is currently investigating the shooting death of a man involving an off-duty Los Angeles Police Department officer late Thursday night in the city of Ontario.
Authorities responded to a shooting at Euclid Avenue and Sixth Street around 8:40 p.m. A male at the location was pronounced deceased by firefighters and paramedics.
Initial information indicates that the man was fatally shot by an off-duty LAPD officer.
“The Los Angeles Police Department is aware of an officer-involved shooting, involving a Los Angeles police officer in the city of Ontario earlier this evening. The Los Angeles Police Department is fully cooperating with the investigation,” the LAPD said in a statement.
