CHINATOWN, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26 (KNN) — Los Angeles Fire Department crews quickly doused flames that threatened a Chinatown deli and left it damaged early Monday morning.
A structure fire was reported around 2:42 a.m. in the 800 block of North Broadway. Arriving fire department crews located an outside fire exposing the Saigon Deli in Saigon Plaza.
The fire was successfully knocked down in just a few minutes.
Although the fire did not extend into the structure, the deli sustained significant smoke damage and broken windows.
The cause is unknown at this time.
