Parked Truck Leaks Fuel After Rear-Ended by Sedan

North Hills, Los Angeles, CA: An apparent high-speed traffic collision involving a sedan into a parked truck occurred in the neighborhood of North Hills around 7:51 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022.

A black Lexus traveling eastbound on Plummer Street at Haskell Avenue rear-ended a parked truck full of cement causing a fuel leak from the collision.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the location and used sand and buckets to catch the remaining fuel leaking from the gas tank of the truck.

LAFD paramedics transported the driver of the black Lexus to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. Los Angeles Police Department officers from the Devonshire Division were at the scene blocking one lane of traffic.

The owner of the truck said the Lexus seemed to be driving at high speeds.
