PASADENA, Calif., June 11 (KNN) — The Pasadena Fire Department battled a blaze that impacted multiple structures in the 2000 block of East Villa Street Monday night.
Firefighters responded to an unknown building fire at the location around 9 p.m., and upon arrival, upgraded the response to second alarm status requesting additional resources.
A commercial structure and an unknown number of residential buildings were affected by the fire. Knockdown was achieved at 9:45 p.m.
There were initial reports that a person was missing and was possibly inside the building, but crews have not located anyone at the time this article was written.
Reports of a person bitten by a dog attempting to help evacuate residents has not been confirmed.
There were also reports of approximately eight people who have been displaced by the fire and Red Cross was contacted to respond.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
