Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Semi on 110 Freeway in Carson

CARSON, Calif., July 25 (KNN) — A pedestrian on the 110 Freeway was struck and killed by a semi truck late Wednesday evening.

California Highway Patrol officers and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a call shortly after 9:30 p.m. regarding a pedestrian struck on the 110 Freeway at 223rd Street in the city of Carson.

Upon arrival, CHP found a semi along with a body down on the roadway in the number 3 lane, which was the only lane with a hard closure, per the CHP.

The collision is under investigation.
