South San Gabriel, San Gabriel, CA: A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle that remained at the scene Tuesday evening, Dec. 6, in the city of South San Gabriel.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and East Los Angeles California Highway Patrol received a call around 6:20 p.m. for a traffic collision on Falling Leaf and East Graves avenues.

Once CHP and firefighters arrived, they reported one vehicle at the scene with a pedestrian lying on the ground unresponsive.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by firefighters.

East LA CHP is investigating the collision.

The condition of the driver of the vehicle was unknown at the time of this report.
