RIALTO, CA, July 3 (KNN) — A vehicle remained on the scene after a fatal collision involving a pedestrian on the 210 Freeway early Monday morning.
The California Highway Patrol and Rialto Fire Department responded to a traffic collision shortly before 1:30 a.m. involving a pedestrian on the westbound 210 Freeway at Riverside Avenue in the city of Rialto.
Firefighters and paramedics pronounced one pedestrian deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was assessed by firefighters, but was not transported to a hospital. It is unknown at this time what the pedestrian was doing on the freeway.
CHP from the San Bernardino station will be handling the investigation into the fatal crash.
CHP had one lane of the westbound 210 Freeway closed at Riverside Avenue at the time of the incident.
