EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 8 (KNN) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a fleeing motorist in East Los Angeles late Tuesday night.
California Highway Patrol’s East Los Angeles officers and deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision around 11 p.m. on Atlantic Boulevard, just north of Olympic Boulevard.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located a victim down in the roadway.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased.
The vehicle that struck the pedestrian is described as a red Toyota that fled the scene.
There are no further details at this time.
